Huhtamaki have developed a new range of coffee cups in partnership with CorporateConnect.AB, an organisation committed to improve the life opportunities for Indigenous Australians. Keith is a Ngarabal man from northern New South Wales, he first learned to paint from his brother over 20 years ago.
In Aboriginal culture, the land was created and given life through the journeys of the ‘Spirit Ancestors’ during the period called the ‘Dreamtime’ or ‘Dreaming’. The ‘Spirit Ancestors’ are symbolised by animals which are the sacred totem animal of a tribal group. Each clan family belonging to the group is responsible for the protection and care of their sacred totem animal. The artworks featured in Huhtamaki’s new range of cups illustrate the tribe area and their sacred totem animals.
Many states and territories across Australia have banned or are planning to ban regular PE plastic lined paper cups. Make the switch to our sustainable and commercially compostable paper cups. You can read more about the Single-Use Plastic Bans in Australia and New Zealand.
